Biodiversity and Ecology Specialist. Hari has completed his MSc on Tropical Forest Management at the University Putra Malaysia in Selangor, Malaysia in 2003 and Forestry degree from the Faculty of Forestry, Bogor Agricultural University in 1996.
Previously he worked as researcher and project manager with the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in Bogor, as the Forestry Project Implementation Project Manager, South Pole group in Jakarta, the Environmental and Social Safeguards Specialist for the program Community Based Natural Resources Management KEHATI and MCA-Indonesia, researcher and lecturer master’s program in Forest Management with Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Sweden for four years, a visiting scholar at the University Florida, USA and to CIRAD in Montpellier, France.
He attended several training such as Improved Forest Management by CIFOR, Carbon Accounting and Carbon Trading in Siem Reap Cambodia by Cambodian Royal Academy, Forest Ecosystems for Bioenergy at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) Joensuu Finland, Forest Restoration at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Sweden, Ecological Restoration at the University of Melbourne Australia, Forests Certification (FSC) and Identifying and Managing High Conservation Values (HCV) within Natural Production Systems ProForest in Oxford United Kingdom and The Art of Building Facilitation Capacities for Multi-Stakeholder Processes in Yogyakarta by Inspirit Inc. He has participated in various seminars and meetings as speaker, delegation and participant in Europe, Africa, North and South America as well as within Asian countries. He is currently completing his PhD dissertation for double degree programe with the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Sweden and University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
